Miami-Dade County Public Schools announces additional sites to participate in the after school meals program
Press Release. Miami-Dade County Public Schools currently provides the Afterschool Meals Program, a sub-component of the Child Care Food Program under the U.S. Department of Agriculture, in over 200 schools and announces the implementation of a newly added locations starting January 9, 2017 at South Miami Middle School (6750 SW 60 Street, Miami, Florida 33143), and January 14 at Miami Senior High (2450 SW 1st Street, Miami, Florida 33135).
The program is designed primarily to provide nutritious meals to children in afterschool programs and selected dates on Saturday school throughout the school district. Starting on January 9, 2017 at South Miami Middle, and January 14, 2017 on Saturdays at Miami Senior High, a meal is available at no separate charge to the children enrolled in the after school care programs.
